To coincide with Tent’s Latin American Business Summit on Refugees in September 2019, Tent and GBAO Strategies launched new research, The Experience of Venezuelan Refugees in Colombia and Peru, highlighting the plight of Venezuelan refugees in Latin America.
In an in-depth article, Miami Herald Bureau Chief, Jim Wyss pointed to some of the report’s key findings – expanding on the conditions under which Venezuelan refugees are likely to return to the country and some of the challenges they face in their new host communities.
Lead researcher Mark Fierstein and Tent’s Executive Director, Gideon Maltz, published an op-ed for Americas Quarterly that made the connection between the report’s findings and how businesses can take action on this issue.
