Hamdi Ulukaya launches the Tent Partnership for Refugees at World Economic Forum in Davos

To coincide with the World Economic Forum in 2016, Chobani CEO Hamdi Ulukaya launched the Tent Partnership for Refugees – his personal philanthropic endeavor to mobilize the business community to support refugees around the world.

Inspired by his own experience hiring refugees at Chobani, Hamdi said to CNN: “At Chobani, the food company I founded in the United States, we have hired hundreds of refugees in the past five years, and they are some of the most talented, dedicated people I’ve ever met.”

Speaking to AFP, he continued, “If we’re going to give hope and opportunity to the more than 60 million refugees around the world, it must come from more than just governments and NGOs. Businesses and innovators have a critical role to play.”
