Tent Executive Director featured on Cheddar
Founder of Cheddar, Jon Steinberg, interviewed Tent Executive Director, Gideon Maltz, about how businesses can leverage their core competencies to better support refugees.
In the interview, Maltz noted that hiring refugees is one important way that businesses can get involved but it’s not the only one, saying, “We [Tent] work with companies to help them figure out what the greatest impact they can have is, given their operations, without it being incredibly onerous and difficult for them… Starbucks, for example, announced a commitment to hire refugees – they felt that’s where they could have the greatest impact. Mastercard though, felt that figuring out ways to expand and extend their services to refugees was the way they could have the greatest impact.”
