Voice of America and Colombian press cover Tent’s Latin American Business Summit on Refugees

On September 23, 2019, Tent co-hosted the first-ever Latin American Business Summit on Refugees, in partnership with the Inter-American Development Bank. The event, attended by leaders from the business community, government, and bilateral agencies, featured 21 companies making public commitments to support refugees across Latin America.

Voice of America anchor Carolina Valladares attended the event and produced an in-depth feature, highlighting the situation in Venezuela as well as the companies stepping up to support refugees. Watch the full report here.

Likewise, Colombian press highlighted the important contributions that companies are making to refugees in the country. La Opinion and La Republica featured Bancamia, a Colombian bank which committed to providing loans, bank accounts and insurance products to 200 Venezuelan entrepreneurs in Colombia by 2020.
