In 2023, The Body Shop committed to train and hire 200 refugees, including Ukrainian refugee women, over three years across its European operations , through inclusive hiring schemes. To help integrate refugees into the workplace, The Body Shop is partnering with local NGOs to provide employability training sessions that will prepare them to work in The Body Shop retail stores as well as on-the-job mentoring.

In 2022, The Body Shop committed to hiring 200 refugees in part time roles over three years in the United States. The Body Shop will incorporate its refugee hiring efforts into its broader Open Hiring program, which aims to remove barriers to employment during the application process.

The Body Shop is a member of Tent U.S., Tent Canada, and Tent España, exploring opportunities to help refugees enter the labor market in these three countries, including through employment or job preparation.
