Tent Partnership for Refugees and IOM Announce Global Partnership to Help Refugees and Migrants Find Jobs
- Formalized through a framework partnership agreement, the global alliance will unite the strengths of Tent and IOM to bring migrants, including refugees and other forcibly displaced populations, into the workforce
February 6, 2024 – The Tent Partnership for Refugees (Tent) – a global network of 350+ companies committed to the labor market integration of refugees – and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) are pleased to announce a global partnership to help refugees and migrants find employment.
“I am thrilled to deepen our cooperation with IOM today,” said Gideon Maltz, CEO of Tent. “Tent is laser-focused on mobilizing the world’s biggest employers to connect refugees and migrants to jobs – the single most important milestone as they restart their lives. IOM’s extensive networks, expertise, and experience with migrants will be instrumental in helping to connect Tent’s member companies to an even larger pipeline of displaced talent.”
“Migrants make for stronger workforces, communities, and societies,” said Amy E. Pope, Director General of IOM. “IOM’s work is perfectly complemented by Tent’s unique ability to mobilize major businesses to recruit and employ from this population. As part of this new global alliance and across critical countries, IOM is proud to partner with Tent to reach many more migrants who are eager for employment opportunities.”

About the Tent Partnership for Refugees
With more and more refugees displaced around the world, businesses have a critical role to play in helping refugees integrate economically in their new communities. Tent was launched in 2016 by Hamdi Ulukaya, the CEO and founder of Chobani – a multibillion dollar food company in the U.S. – to mobilize global businesses to fill this gap. Today, Tent is a network of over 350 major companies committed to helping hundreds of thousands of refugees access local labor markets by helping them become job-ready and connecting them to work.
