TIME Names the Tent Partnership for Refugees to the TIME100 Most Influential Companies List

May 30, 2024 – Today, TIME revealed that the Tent Partnership for Refugees (Tent) has been named to the fourth-annual TIME100 Most Influential Companies list, which highlights companies making an extraordinary impact around the world.

Recognizing Tent for its pioneering approach and transformational role in effectively galvanizing the world’s largest employers to connect refugees to jobs at scale – the list underscores that Tent’s work is “as valuable for the host countries and companies as it is for the refugees gaining employment.”

“I founded Tent in 2016 to urge business leaders to hire refugees – and in less than a decade, we have skyrocketed to over 400 of the biggest companies across a dozen countries that have stepped up to join us in this movement,” said Hamdi Ulukaya, founder of Tent, founder and CEO of Chobani, and a 2017 TIME’s 100 Most Influential People in the World honoree. “I am endlessly proud that Tent has been selected to TIME’s list of the 100 Most Influential Companies in the world. It is extraordinary acknowledgement of Tent’s tireless efforts with the business community to reduce barriers and help refugees secure employment.”

To assemble the list, TIME solicited nominations across sectors, and polled its global network of contributors and correspondents, as well as outside experts. TIME editors then evaluated each on key factors, including impact, innovation, ambition, and success. The result is a diverse group of 100 businesses helping chart an essential path forward.
