Tim Cole

Tim Cole is the Vice President of Europe, where he oversees Tent’s work to mobilize major companies to connect refugees to jobs in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden, and the UK. Prior to Tent, Tim’s career spanned development, diplomacy and campaigning. In the 1990s after the genocide in Rwanda, he led humanitarian programs in central Africa, including in refugee camps in eastern DRC. He then served as a UK diplomat in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, including in Mozambique and Zimbabwe as Deputy Head of Mission from 2006 to 2012; in Cuba as the Ambassador from 2012 to 2016; and as the UK’s Migration Envoy from 2017 to 2019, during which he helped negotiate the Global Compact on Migration. After leaving the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 2019, he most recently was Executive Director of the ONE Campaign in Europe.
